GITEX Shopper 2014 all set to showcase big name and bigger offers

For anyone looking for the latest in smartphones, laptops, tablets, TVs, home appliances and just about everything else you can imagine,GITEX Shopper 2014 is a not-to-be-missed event for technology enthusiasts and smart-shoppers alike.

Taking place from 27 September – 4 October at Dubai World Trade Centre, GITEX Shopper is set to excite and entice with unbeatable prices, cutting-edge technology launches, better than ever giveaways and exclusive show offers on more than 30,000 different products.

The Middle East’s largest consumer IT and electronics show will see the return of consumer technology heavyweights including Bose, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Jacky’s Electronics, Jumbo Electronics, Lenovo, Max Electronics Samsung, Sharaf DG, Toshiba and 050telecom, as well as a number of first-time exhibitors such as Better Life, OPPO, Siemens, Wiko and ZTE. With an array of power retailers and top name brands under the same roof offering exclusive deals and giveaways, consumers will not be disappointed at this year’s bargain bonanza.

Millions of dirhams worth of prizes will once again be up for grabs this year including a car a day giveaway featuring a limited edition Honda Accord. All visitors who purchase an AED 30 entry ticket will be in the running for the daily raffle.

Nikon will be one of many brands offering daily raffles with prizes worth AED1,500 each for some lucky visitors, giving away 10 cameras a day in their Visit & Win raffle draw as well as 10 DSLR cameras a day in their Scratch & Win raffle draw. In addition, Nikon will offer a unique opportunity to learn photography basics.

Commenting on Nikon’s participation at GITEX Shopper, Narendra Menon, Regional Head of Sales and Marketing for Nikon Middle East and Africa said: “As always, we will be running special promotions on various cameras and accessories through our retailers. We’re confident that our wide range of point-and-shoot COOLPIX and DSLR cameras will be a hit across different customer segments.”

Retail giant Jumbo Electronics has been a part of GITEX Shopper since the inception of the event. Nadeem Khanzadah, Head of Retail said: “Jumbo showcases the latest and best devices at GITEX Shopper every year and this year will be no exception with a number of exclusive deals and offers to make sure customers get more value for their money.”

Returning to this year’s show is India’s leading brand in consumer electronics and home appliances – Videocon, with discounts of up to 45 percent. Sandipan Basu, Business Development Manager for Videocon UAE said: “We’re offering free gifts of up to AED250 and free delivery for every customer buying LEDs and home appliances for India delivery, whilst customers buying local products such as mobiles and oxy fryers will receive gifts worth AED150. We’re also running a fun quiz competition every hour with loads of prizes to be given away.”

In addition to the vast array of consumer electronics on offer, this year’s GITEX Shopper will also play host to a number of product launches including HDWizard’s HD Shuttle Pro home media system, Jacky’s Electronics new MakerBot Digitizer desktop scanner and new tablets from Dell running on android.

GITEX Shopper 2014 will take place from 27 September – 4 October and will open from 11:00am – 11:00pm every day. Tickets are priced at AED 30 per person and are available at the venue and at select Emarat outlets. Entry is free for children below the age of five.
