TP-Link recently introduced its new router that is aimed at users who would want an efficient and economical router for their home or office network setup. The new TP-Link Archer C3200 router offer sufficient power for gamers and web surfers alike.
The Archer C3200 is specifically made for high-traffic networks with multiple clients vying for bandwidth. This one is a tri-band router that offers one 2.4GHz and two 5GHz bands. The extra 5GHz band goes a long way in easing wireless network congestion and gives you more control over how clients connect wirelessly.
With the TP-Link Archer C3200, you get good 5GHz throughput and a slew of management settings. In addition, it does an awesome job of transferring files to and from attached USB storage devices. Equipped with a 1GHz dual-core CPU, and three co-processors, the C3200 has adequate network capabilities.
In terms of look and feel, the C3200 features a black overall finish with standard LED indicator lights on the front, representing power displays. The router comes with six antennas that fold down into the middle of the router when not in use, creating a flat and compact device.
Other features included are guest networks, parental controls and firewall security features. The Archer C3200 measures 1.5-by-7.9-by-7.9-inches (HWD). While the device sits horizontally on or below your desk, it can also be mounted on a wall using the two mounting brackets on the bottom of the chassis.
The router comes with nine LED activity indicators on the front panel for power, USB, all three bands, Ethernet and WAN ports, and Wireless Protected Setup (WPS). Also on the panel are buttons to initiate WPS, disable the LED lights, and turn Wi-Fi on and off.
Turn it around and you get four wired Gigabit Ethernet ports, a WAN (Internet) port, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, and a Power switch on the back. The Archer C3200 is equipped with “beamforming” technology. Beamforming focuses the attention to the intended wireless device, enabling a more reliable and faster connection.
The TP-Link Archer C3200 gives you an extra 5GHz band to help ease Wi-Fi congestion. The router also provides a nice selection of basic and advanced settings to help you manage your network and optimize your bandwidth.
While its 5GHz performance is decent, it also offers good performance when it comes to the 2.4GHz throughput and overall range performance. If you are one of those looking to step up to an AC router and want better bang for the buck, the TP-Link Archer C3200 could be your best bet.
