Big screen 4K monitor from Philips

Philips today launched their brand new 40-inch monitor, BDM4065UC powered with 4K Ultra HD display to deliver four times the clarity and four times the resolution of Full HD. The extra-large display provides plenty of room to spread out, so users can navigate multiple applications and windows simultaneously, without ever losing the productivity-enhancing sense of space.

The 4K UHD technology gives the monitor an extra edge for professional users such as Photographers and videographers, fine detail with unrivalled clarity, and the new display’s true 8-bit and FRC color depth ensures color fidelity as well as UltraClear images.

Even for finance professionals, the new display transforms the viewing experience as now they can run data-intensive applications in multiple windows and still retain the sense of space and clarity of detail across their entire desktop. Using MultiView, users can show four Full HD windows simultaneously. The VA panel technology ensures details and colors stay true from any viewing angle, even almost side-on. And for users who can’t get enough space, the ultra narrow bezel design makes it possible to place two 40-inch displays side by side without the distraction of physical bezels. The result: a stunning panoramic view.

According to Philips monitors, the new monitor is strong on connectivity, designed to give professionals and home users freedom of choice for work and leisure. With highest bandwidth digital connections, the display can hook up to a wide range of media sources, enabling users to experience all their content in 4K Ultra HD brilliance on the 40-inch widescreen. The DisplayPort 1.2 digital PC-to-Display link supports data transfer speeds of up to 10.8 Gbps, for faster imaging and zero-latency refresh rates. Also upping the connectivity choices are MHL support for enjoying mobile content on the big screen (while charging the mobile device at the same time), superfast USB 3.0, and HDMI 1.4, for streaming high quality digital video and audio signals from a PC or other AV source.
