Xiaomi held recently a grand opening of its first Authorized Mi Store in Cairo, located on the first floor of City Stars Phase 1. The opening of the store falls in line with Xiaomi’s continuing commitment to bring more innovative products with accessible prices to Egypt and the local markets in the Middle East and Africa region (MEA).
Authorised Mi Stores are Xiaomi’s exclusive offline retail stores that allow Mi Fans to experience and purchase Xiaomi’s latest products under one roof. The newly-inaugurated Authorized Mi Store in the Egyptian capital city houses a broad range of Xiaomi products, including its smartphones Mi 6, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4X, Redmi 4A and the large-screen Mi Max 2, along with an array of Mi Ecosystem products including the all-new Mi In-Ear Headphones, Mi Band 2 and the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank, among others.
Customers can also get hold of the recently launched Mi A1 and Redmi Note 5A from the new store. Xiaomi entered the Egyptian market in cooperation with its official distribution partner Al Safy this May, and has unveiled its latest top-of-the-line smartphones like Mi 6 and Redmi series with high quality performance at amazing prices.
In collaboration with Al Safy, the new Authorised Mi Store in Cairo is another major stride towards reinforcing the company’s presence in the market and addressing the needs of the highly sophisticated and unique demand of local tech-savvy consumers. This September, Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun met Mohamed Wahba, the company head of Al Safy in Beijing, China, and reassured him of the company’s ambition to expand globally by bring more cutting-edge products and services to overseas customers including those in Egypt and in the Middle East.
The establishment of the offline store will help make Xiaomi devices more readily available for buyers across the country. In line with its global expansion strategy, Xiaomi will soon open new stores in other parts of the region as well to reach a broader customer base and bring innovation to everyone.
