TAITRA had recently arranged a press tour to Taiwan for journalists from around the world to experience the latest in technologies and innovation in the leisure and sports segment. Review Central was part of the tour which brought us to Brogent Technologies Inc one fine morning.

The software design company located in Kaohsiung City, has established its great reputation in embedded mobile multimedia technology and multimedia content designing (multimedia player, 3D user interface, 3D games, and so on.) provided for handheld device manufacturers.
The company was responsible for bringing out FlyOver Canada – a theater offering a virtual flight ride experience over Canada. This 4D simulation ride became a must-see attraction when it opened at the Canada Place pier in Vancouver in July 2013, attracting over 500,000 visitors in the first five months after its launch.
According to C.H. Ouyang, the CEO of Brogent Technologies, the huge success of FlyOver Canada allowed Brogent to sign up over 10 orders from worldwide clients, including some in China and Japan, since the second half of 2013.
Brogent Technologies was established in 2001 and went on to develop its first i-Ride dynamic flight theater in 2007. The company then managed to win its first contract for the product from the E-Da World theme park in Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan. The theater, FlyOver Taiwan, was officially opened in July 2010.
“FlyOver Canada, which as opened to public in July 2013, uses a third-generation of the same i-Ride technology, which made FlyOver Taiwan possible,” explained Mr. Ouyang. “The system has undergone various improvements since the flight theater was first put on the market. The entire ride is ‘made in Taiwan’ – which means all of its parts and components are sourced from over 30 Taiwanese manufacturers.”

According to Mr. Ouyang, FlyOver Canada garnered over 650,000 audience in 12 months of its operation and generated a revenue of CAD 13,00,000 (AED 40,488,558). The i-Ride system features a 6 DOF simulator and an electrical drive. It has seating capacities of 40 persons (2X2) or 90 persons (3X3).
The second generation of the i-Ride system is able to generate 4D effects that include wind, mist and scent, among other effects. It comes with a 4K projection system with Fisheye lens, support for media up to 60 FPS, and 14.1 surround sound.
Following the success of FlyOver Canada, FlyOver Mount Fuji (Japan) was thrown open to public on July 17th 2014. The company is now in talks with amusement parks and entertainment companies in Middle East and India, to bring their i-Ride dynamic flight theater to worldwide audience.
